Happy 2018!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and new year. On this cold and dreary Tuesday, I’d like to revisit warmer sunnier days and give an overview of the beautiful wedding of Rachel & Ethan from back in September. Rachel and Ethan are one of the couples I got a chance to coordinate for this year, and it was extra special to me because Rachel and I are sorority sisters! <>
Rachel and Ethan met in high school. Although I already knew Rachel, I didn’t meet Ethan until their venue tour. It was clear to me that they are truly made for each other. They finished each others sentences, and both wanted the same thing for their special day – a beautiful wedding, but a FUN wedding. They got engaged over the holidays in 2016, when Ethan proposed to Rachel in front of the Christmas tree with a special proposal ornament! (how cute is that?!)
Working with both of their families was such a great experience and you could tell that they were already “one big happy family”. It was such a joy to see the love that they all have for one another and one special moment that touched our hearts was when, after they were announced husband and wife, Rachel & Ethan went to both of their parents and gave them huge hugs before walking up the aisle (cue the happy tears).
Rachel’s theme for her wedding was Rustic Elegance and her main goal was to have a fun wedding with happiness all around. A wooden cross was built for the ceremony site that added a rustic touch, and we lined the aisle with flowers in her wedding colors. For the reception, her father made rustic wooden boxes for the centerpieces to go in and we filled them with roses, white stock flowers, seeded eucalyptus, and touches of burgundy.
The food was provided by one of our local favorite caterers, Our Place Cafe and the beautiful 4 tiered cake was commissioned by Faboo Cakes in Hendersonville. For the groom’s cake Ethan wanted to represent his favorite team, so the ladies at Faboo made him an awesome Razorbacks cake!
It was truly a FUN day and a beautiful wedding. The weather was great and the guests were on the dance floor all night! I am so glad they chose The Pick Inn for their special day and I am so happy for their family – fur baby Luther included!
Thanks for letting us host your special day, your wedding is one we will always cherish!
